A very good morning to you from sunny Suffolk!
Here's a little something to read with your elevenses, an article in the November issue of Dolls House World featuring one of my doll's houses. As you know, I do love small things, must be because I'm so small myself! You'll need to zoom in to read the piece, but hopefully that won't spoil your enjoyment.

The article is a great read and the dolls house amazing ❤️xx
Lovely to see your Dolls House need to get “A Tale of 5 Doll Houses “ girls together next year at a Fair and lunch 🏠
How beautiful and what an enormous amount of enjoyment you must get from these lovely miniature homes x
A very good morning to you all! In what has undoubtedly been a huge week for news, I thought I'd flag up something a little less controversial ... It's now exactly four weeks until the paperback for An Ideal Husband will be published and it's been given a lovely new wintry cover, complete with a sprinkling of snow.
Publication will bring with it the news I mentioned in a previous post which I can't yet share, (clamps lips tightly shut!) and it will come shortly after I have surgery to remove my unsightly bunion. So early December is going to be quite the run-up to Christmas!
Talking of which, I will need to get myself supremely well organised in advance of Christmas as I shall be hobbling around for most of December and into January too. Sorry for mentioning the ding-dong-merrily-on-high festivities if you're not ready to face them yet, but I'm looking forward to Christmas as my son and family will be here from LA, so hurrah for that!
Toodle-pip for now!

Thank you so much, Linda.
Wishing you a good recovery from the operation and hoping you have a good time with your family- I’m off to see mine in NZ early January!
Loved this book , really enjoyed it
October is fast coming to an end so I thought I ought to remind you that Coming Home to Island House is currently 99p on Amazon but the offer will finish on the last day of this month. If you haven't read it yet, grab it while you can for your Kindle for a bargain price!
In other news, I met up with a friend for lunch over in Grantchester a few days ago. We ate at the Red Lion and enjoyed a short stroll along the river, and as you can see from the photos, the weather was beautiful. For fans of the tv series Grantchester, I'm happy to report that there was a film crew in the village of Grantchester while I was there, so that means a new series is under way!

I’ve read that book at least twice !
It looks a very pretty village x
Just reading that paperback at the moment, am enjoying it. We often drive to Grantchester and walk along the river into Cambridge, lovely place
Yesterday was one of those very rainy days when gardening was out of the question, so it was a chance to get back to some needlepoint which I started earlier in the year. It's one of the things I love about autumn and winter, there's time to enjoy some crafting projects and not feel guilty about it. Anyone else feel the same way?
Today I'm applying myself to tackling the mountain of filing which I've left to build and build until it's reached toppling levels. Every time I tell myself not to leave it so long, but I always do. It's a bit like cleaning the oven, I somehow imagine it will do the work itself!
I hope you're all doing something more interesting than I am today, do share and tell any crafts you have on the go!
P.S. Coming Home to Island House is still Kindle bargain at 99p. There are more books from my backlist which are currently £2.99 on Amazon, such as Swallowtail Summer, The Queen of New Beginnings, Paradise House, Summer at the Lake.
P.P.S. Latest bunion update - plans are afoot (pun fully intended!) and I'm booked to have it done in early December.

Just finished this cross stitch and taken yesterday to be framed
Just been doing a little gardening. Moved a fushia about a foot! It’s the wrong time of year but I have an Exchordia that I wanted to give breathing space to. Dug up a clump of hellebores too which I then forgot to replant. Will get that done and then try and finish making some faux suede trousers. Busy busy but I’m too young, 75, to grow old! X
I've started doing diamond art, that's so relaxing.
A very good afternoon to you on this horribly wet October day! September seems to have disappeared in a flash and here we are, dare I say, three months from the end of the year. One minute we were longing for summer (here in the UK we most certainly were) to arrive and it sort of it did, but not with what I would call a blaze of glory. But hey ho, onwards we go!
Guaranteed to brighten the day for me are these flowers I picked in my garden, and just in time before yet another deluge of rain fell from the sky. I fear we're in for another very wet autumn and winter.
Something else to brighten the day is that my novel Coming Home to Island House is a 99p Kindle monthly deal for the whole of October, so if you haven't read it yet, now might be the ideal time. I have so many happy memories writing the book and I know lots of you enjoyed it too.
Lastly, thank you for all the bunion advice! Who knew that one day I would be asking such a thing here on FB, but I'm enormously grateful for all your comments. The wheels are now turning, so to speak, in as much as I've seen an orthopaedic surgeon and am now waiting to see another for a second opinion. It's the recovery time after the operation that is the worry for me, but thankfully I don't write with my feet!

I’m a lover of holding and reading a good book, but have just got this on my iPad for a change. Thank you for letting us know and looking forward to reading it. Your flowers are beautiful, hope your surgery and recovery goes well. Xx
Beautiful flowers!! Stunning colours!💕 I think this is one of my favourite Erica James books and I was delighted there was a sequel. However, to be fair, I think I say the same after each one I read!!😆xx
Hi Erica, the six week recovery after your bunion surgery will go in a flash. Just follow to the letter their advice post surgery. Choose a really good Consultant Podiatric Surgeon, who deals with feet on a daily basis, as opposed to an orthopaedic surgeon who dabbles with bits of everything, unless you’re lucky enough to find one who primarily specialises in feet. Lots of good luck.
Home sweet home after a wonderful week away seeing my son in Tokyo. It was 35c with incredible humidity during my stay so you can imagine how different Suffolk feels for me today after arriving home late last night.
As always, I had a lovely time with Samuel and we visited places we'd been to before as well as discovering new ones in Yokohama and also Kamakura where we chanced upon a small puppet museum. In Tokyo we managed to get tickets to see a ballet, a brand new production of The Mermaid performed by the K-Ballet Company in Tokyo, which was absolutely superb.
So now it's back to work on Book No.27 and with autumn well and truly here, unless you're in Australia and New Zealand and now enjoying spring!
All for now!
